Running Record iPad apps
For those of you who were not at the webinar on Monday, we learned about some really neat apps you can use on the ipad to help take running records. The first one is notability which we are hoping to have all of our benchmark assessments loaded to. There are a lot of really neat features on this app. Shannon Gagel has used it a lot and can probably answer any question you have!
We also were shown Record of Reading which is a free app. Some helpful hints when using this, some of the teachers have found that it is hard to keep up with the kids using the stylus (not sure how to spell that) so don't write the check marks. Just write their errors and then draw a line to show it is a new page. Also, if you accidentally mark an error there isn't a way to delete that at this point. Maria Goodman has an email into the creators to find out if there is anything that can be done about that.
Just wanted to share! Enjoy!
